HAUTE LIVING: Luxury Tower 181 Fremont Opens Its Doors
At 800 feet, 181 Fremont is not only making its mark as one of the highest buildings in the Bay Area; it is setting a new standard for luxury SoMa residences. With sophisticated abodes designed by Orland Diaz-Azcuy and enviable views, 181 Fremont has drawn international attention.
Recently, the who’s who of San Francisco society and boldface names like Matt Lituchy, Joel Goodrich, and Sonia Maria Edwards, gathered at 181 Fremont to get a glimpse of two model units. Haute Living reports that the evening was as spectacular as the views from the 39th and 43rd floors.
Art, food, and, of course, glasses of Veuve abounded as guests took in the elegant digs, replete with Italian marble, New Guinea wood, and French-made doors.
But as Haute Living points out, 181 Fremont’s main feature is the fact that it’s San Francisco’s “first-ever” earthquake-proof residence. The building can withstand up to an 8.0-magnitude quake, and that, says Haute Living is “good news for homeowners who may have purchased one of the 55 residences,” especially the “6,941-square-foot, five-bedroom penthouse that takes up the entire top floor of 181 Fremont.”
