SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE: Skyscraper at 181 Fremont St. in SF offers luxury condominiums
181 Fremont is on track toward becoming the most prized property in the Bay Area. The 802-foot-tall building is home to 55 ultra luxury SoMa condos and 12 accessory residences occupying the building’s 16 uppermost floors. From the ground floor through the 38th story, Facebook will be setting up shop, while the residential portion of the building is separated from its commercial tenants by an amenity-packed Sky Lounge. Beneath its aluminum exoskeleton-clad exterior, the building’s luxe interiors are captivating potential residents, as an estimated 50 percent of the building’s homes have already been acquired. “It’s the smallest and most sophisticated building downtown, with some of the best views,” says Sotheby’s broker Greg Lynn. “They are offering interiors unlike anything we have seen here in San Francisco — the level of stone in the bathroom, the cabinetry in the kitchen, the electric shades … so much thought went into these.”
