Watch the New Film on 181 Fremont’s Expert-Curated Art Program

July 14, 2021

At 181 Fremont, exceptional art is part of everyday life. This new film provides a special look inside the extraordinary Art Program at 181 Fremont, home to more than 200 artworks by emerging and established artists—from paintings and sculpture to photography, mixed media and beyond. Every piece has been curated to enhance 181 Fremont’s award-winning architecture and aesthetic. Discover the incredible works within our walls and get special insight from Matthew Lituchy, CIO at Jay Paul Company, and Holly Baxter, 181 Fremont’s art advisor.

“Great architecture, design and art were always going to be a focal point of this development,” says Lituchy. “We felt it was important to put world-class fine art here. And when we designed the interiors of our homes, they were all designed with showcasing art in mind.” Among the standout residence features are museum-finished walls and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame sweeping bay, bridge and skyline views—offering a stunning juxtaposition that complements any art collection.

Additionally, 181 Fremont’s 39th floor Residents’ Lounge displays more than three dozen pieces of art, the special Podium II exhibition in Residence 62B features works by 14 international women artists, and Gallery 181—an on-site exhibition space located in a sprawling half-floor penthouse 700 feet in the sky—houses works by Richard Serra, Joel Shapiro, and Teresita Fernandez.

181 Fremont is a feat of design and ingenuity best experienced in person.
