Sprüth Magers Opening Event
February 25, 2022 | 6-8 PM

Valet Provided | Please see Covid protocols below

Jay Paul and Matt Lituchy of Jay Paul Company, Holly Baxter of Holly Baxter & Associates, and Sprüth Magers, invite you and a guest to the opening of the Sprüth Magers exhibition at 181 Fremont’s Gallery 181.

About The Exhibition

From Gallery 181, an extraordinary penthouse residence nearly 700’ in the sky, Monika Sprüth and Philomene Magers present an exhibition of works by four of the gallery’s leading women artists—Cao Fei, Jenny Holzer, Karen Kilimnik and Louise Lawler. In each of their bodies of work, art and architecture is self-consciously explored, often with overt references to the work of others. Across paintings, photographs, sculptures and video, they examine the objects and structures that surround, enclose and affect us day-to-day. This presentation at Gallery 181 will highlight key projects by each artist, offering a nuanced view of women’s perspectives on an ever-changing world.

Location: Gallery 181 at 181 Fremont
Dates: February 25 – March 31, 2022
