181 Fremont is poised to become the tallest residential condominium tower in San Francisco with the help of forward-thinking engineering that guarantees the building will withstand even the most adverse conditions. 181 Fremont’s developers had the foresight to invest heavily in premium safety features that are paying dividends in sales as neighboring buildings on the market begin to sink and lean. The luxury condos are anchored by a foundation 260 feet deep in the bedrock below Downtown San Francisco. Designers went through multiple iterations before settling on the lightest and most resilient version of the tower, which includes shock absorbers strategically placed in 10-floor increments.
