181 Fremont’s Grand Penthouse Called “Art Gallery in the Sky” by Mansion Global

November 30, 2021

Mansion Global, an award-winning online destination covering the global real estate market, relevant news and luxury listings for sale, recently highlighted 181 Fremont’s Grand Penthouse and groundbreaking art program.

Titled “Lofty Gallery Walls and Understated Architecture Are an Art Collector’s Dream,”  the Mansion Global article refers to the Grand Penthouse as an “Art Gallery in the Sky” that is “designed specifically with art collectors in mind” with “spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows” and “7,000 square feet of Venetian plaster gallery walls.” The penthouse’s thoughtful interiors harmonize to make it the “ideal home for an art collector.”

In the article, 181 Fremont’s art advisor Holly Baxter shares more of what makes the home suited to collectors. “The living spaces of the Grand Penthouse are an art collector’s dream; they feature 10- to 12-foot ceilings, museum-style suspended base walls and museum finishes befitting the art that adorns its walls,” Baxter says. “The elegant and sophisticated artworks in the home are by modern masters and enhance the architecture and design.”

Baxter selected the artworks on display in the Grand Penthouse to “showcase the potential of the space,” exhibiting pieces by “artists whose works are in the permanent collections of major museums and in important private collections” in collaboration with the local San Francisco gallery Anthony Meier Fine Arts.

In addition to its collection-ready interiors, The Grand Penthouse encompasses four bedrooms plus a den, six-and-a-half bathrooms, 6,941 square feet of living space, plus a private elevator landing and exclusive access to five-star concierge services, a full floor of amenities at 181 Fremont’s Residents’ Club and 7th-level skybridge to Salesforce Park.
